Re: Corrado VR6 Twin Turbo (jininkan)

well, it would probably not have as high boost potential, but would probably be more reliable, and more than capable of giving more boost than you could use. the new issue of Euro Tuner is dedicated to turbo, there is a little blurb about a twin turbo vr6 setup. not a great mag, i know, but still probably worth reading if you are interested.

no a BI turbo setup is better since small turbos spool up quicker then one big turbo...twin turbo is also good: both turbos spool up at the same time, BI turbo: one small turbo spools up then another bigger one spools up after so the car wont break your neck on take-off

Bi-Turbo and Twin-Turbo be same poop.
Sequential Turbo(Mazda RX7,Supra TT) Now thats sequential, one small one large.one operates under lower boost, and they both operate for higher boost.
Most have found a single BIG Turbo does the job just fine.

Kinetic why are laughing? HUH?
HGP isnt the only company that makes bi-turbo set-ups. Also I have mentioned that you will need to supply your own IC and piping, now does HGP kit comes with that...YES. So please save your sarcastic responds to yourself....

Perhaps you would look like less of an a$$ if you posted the name of the vendor or ANY usefull information regarding the "kit" you speak of. The way you have worded your posts makes it seem as if you don't know what you are talking about.

Twins VS singles

You have to think that when have two small turbos they are getting half the energy to make them spool up. One big turbo has all the exhaust pulses goin to it while a twin setup only has half the pulses goin to it. An exeption to this is if you had a normal V6 (audi, GM , ford , nissan, whatever) where you could have a turbo on each side of the motor. Also if you note in all the import mags and at the drags the supra's and Rx7's ditch the twins for singles. Twins also make a plumbing nightmare

Anyways , just my thoughts on the subject.

Re: Corrado VR6 Twin Turbo (Darrsh)

FWD cars are nose heavy and certainly not the best handling cars available. And, trying to run so many ponies through the front is a costly deal. Nonetheless, ya gotta do it; I think one would be better off by first installing a Quaiffe LSD and N20 (Nitrous Express may be the best way to go), and then trying an intercooled Z-Engineering SC down the road. Although my '93 SLC has limited mods, I just received my big Turbonetics T-06S, manifold, wastgate, and down pipe for my '93 RX7 which will replace the stock sequential turbos and its complicated vacuum lines, air solenoids, actuators, and such. What's important here is the car is a front mid-engine RWD w/ stock LSD and is already a factory turbo car. It can easily handle the huge power jump. Mods are much easier b/c the setup is already in place though not any less expensive. Good luck.

Re: Corrado VR6 Twin Turbo (ArmaliteMan)

I never said bi-turbo is better than one. I know of a vendor who sells bi-turbo kit for $8k, they have alot of kit not only for a vr6. Why bother showing proof if nobody on this forum will get the kit?? Most of people here just simply TALK alot. All I said is that you can get a bi-turbo kit for $8k thats all.
PS
Maybe I dont know what im talking about, maybe I do...
