I had the timing belt done on my 1.8t passat 2k ago and at that time the mechanic told me that the oil pan gasket would need to be replaced soon. sure enough, i rolled the car out a couple mornings ago and there was a small puddle of oil from over night. So, my question is, does anyone know what i could expect to pay a shop to replace the oil pan gasket i.e. is it a labor intensive job?

yeah- it usually will pay close to 3 hours- maybe more- you have to pull out the sub frame in a 1.8t passat- it is not a fun job- then you may need an alignment afterwards- make sure that it is your pan gasket leaking- because its not a gasket- its a gasket maker- rarely tdo they leak- what year and how many miles?
