Wow, the attention to detail and engineering are stunning. I can't imagine that someone paid for that work because it would be too expensive - I'm guessing that was someone working on their own car...

It was paid for by the owner. About $25K to rebuild the engine the first time it came in and another $25K to do the standalone.

God, how I hate what making a car "US Legal" does to shapes of supercars. Ever see what the McLaren F1's that came here looked like? They took off the bumpers and lights, added these horrible US squares and metal I beams, and jacked up the suspension.
