I really couldn't care less, as I have a Mk2

I may be looking at getting a Mk5 GTI when I'm done school next year, but even if I don't, the bottle opener is s cool novelty http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

As for the hook, I may be looking to try and retrofit

Im pretty sure that the bottle opener show is also the cup holder divider in the euro V(correct me if Im wrong) and the euro V and US V have completely different cupholders in front of the armrest.

it's indeed from a euro golf ( i have one of those)
I can click it into my cupholder, so it divideds the cupholder in 2
Pretty handy thing though

Just looked it up at work and it listed in US ETKA and all warehouses have plenty. Part # 1K0-858-230. Enjoy. Mine should be here Wednesday.

Does that just sit there or does it 'snap' in? Looks like it just has a couple rubber contact points?

It justs sits there. The rubber contact points are supposed to keep it in place but they don't. The only thing that keeps it there is if you have a cup or something in the back cupholder. Still a nice piece though.
