Hey Everyone,
When buying a Certified (CPO) car these days, do dealers reset/wipe the ECUs as a part of the certification process? Is there a way to know if the car is either currently tuned or previously tuned? I want to buy a A4 B9 premium that is "fresh" and never tuned/abused. Yes, I may eventually put a APR stage 1 on there... but would prefer to buy a clean mod-virgin car. Can I just ask the dealer to confirm its never been tuned? I'd imagine with the popularity of tunes these days this is a thing that is asked. I couldn't imagine finding out one day for warranty work that the car was already flagged from a tune by the previous owner.
