is the cpu the same as the ecu? if so, i bet a lot of people are just buying spare ones to chip. and it's probably not a part they make a lot of extras of in the first place. i'm sure they don't anticipate many ecu problems on brand new cars, ya know? if they're not giving you a loaner, tell them to take an ecu out of a car on the lot and put it in yours! paying customers should come before potential customers!
