well i cracked my oil pan thursday on my way to work.

it was bogus. but i do have a new hatred for those two hidden bolts by the tranny. my new hybrid oil pan arrives monday and i think im going to be ordering a skid plate very soon too

The bottom section of the pan is made of a stronger material (forget what is exactly though) so it's harder to crack open like that.
I feel your pain on the oil pan too, I've slayed a couple of them myself

if you know someone who welds aluminum----that crack can be fixed....i did that to my cracked pan, just clean out the oil real good, the aluminum welds really nice

I'm really stretching my luck thin, just the other day I was in a construction zone, raised manholes and no signs, I am lucky I hit nothing (its a big thing to me because I do have a skidplate sitting here.. not on the car

yeah ive been looking at them, i didnt think they were so expensive though
