Hello all,
Just wrapped up my sons Gti that decided to throw the timing chain a week before it was scheduled to be done. Everything went back together and the car runs as it should, other than the cruise doesn’t work now. I’m assuming it is probably a vacuum or electrical connection. Any help would be appreciated where to start looking.

Have you scanned for any codes? Vacuum has nothing to do with it. Not sure how vacuum would have anything to do with the cruise function. MKVs are all drive by wire.

Perhaps you need to do a TBA but for that you will need a tool capable of that function and that tool could also check for other dtc and CC function.
