recently, when I do a full left turn, I hear some rubbing noise from the wheel. I am not sure if it's a driveshaft or CV joint, but I know it's different from my previous experience with lower ball joint where it was more of a clicking sound (or tad-tad-tad) than rubbing noise.
From what I have heard/observed, is it really a driveshalf or CV joint problem? Also, what happen if the problem is not resolved in time (thinking of sending it down for repair during my next servicing)

Re: CV joint worn out or drive shaft? (Jenkins)

CV joints click as they shift under load instead of having a nice circular contact. Rubbing isn't likely to be this. The drive shaft is just a metal bar, it ould get bent or the splines could be stripped but that would take some doing. Rubbing is likely to come from something else, like the wheel arch liner.

Re: CV joint worn out or drive shaft? (Geordie)

thanks for the information.
Will have my mechanic to check out the fender rubbing as well, after my car is back from the paint shop.
