From what I have been reading it sound like the DE will be in lots by April or May. But no one seems to have a date set on the 24V, at least in my travels I haven't heard anything. How is it that the DE being some what of an afterthought could possibly arrive before the 24V which has been known to be coming here since last summer?

24v in May last we were told.
DE GTI in May/June.

Jamie thanks for the info. So many dates being thrown around I sometimes don't know what is going on.

went to the chicago auto show today. all they had for vr6 gti was the 24v 6-speed. they said it will be on the lots march or april. it has the interior of the 1.8t. it has a really ugly looking stereo. it was priced 800 dollars cheaper than my fully loaded 2001 gti, but the interior showed.
