DE GTI transmission swap into MKIV

Where I come from, we only get RHD, so the idea of a DE GTI appearing on our shores is pretty slim. Wondereing if anybody is planning on transplanting a DE 6spd tranny into a MKIV GTI?
If so, are there any leads as to how extensive the mod is gonna be? Any help would be great.

I asked this question once before. As far as I've been told, it's not that hard to do with the right set of people and tools. 'It bolts right up,' is what I was told.
