Here's the wiring for this sensor, as stated by DEI's instructions:
Quote »
Yellow = ground
Red = +12 v constant
Blue = Trigger output for heavy impacts, connect to factory alarm
Green = Trigger output for light impacts, connect to other DEI equipment

I'm tying this in to the stock alarm on an A4-chassis GTI. Do I disregard the green wire entirely, or can/should I connect it to the blue wire?

Disregrd it or you can hook it up to your hown for a warning chirp

Really? Will that work with the stock alarm/horn?

I'm not sure if the horn trigger at the comfort control module will sound with the car off? But if you wire it directly to the horn it should work

Since the alarm sounds the horn when triggered, then the horn trigger should be "hot" with the ignition off...

If the sensor output goes directly to the horn, that would mean the sensor was powering the horn directly, right? Is there enough output on that skinny green wire to do this? Granted, it is just a short "chirp."
