The right headlight on my five-month-old 2001.5 died yesterday. When I went to the dealer, I just said that a headlight bulb had failed and they went right to the correct bulb without any more information. He made the comment "this is the one that normally blows." He replaced it while I waited. As I walked back to the car, a 2001.5 Variant pulled in, and also had the same bulb out! So, to me that suggests that there's a flaw in the design that lets the headlight bulb on the passenger side get too hot. Anyone else had this problem?
