Re: Did Hella came out with new Headlight? (BlueVR)

do you want these to be a driving light or a fog
because if they are supposed to be a fog chances are if they are aimed along with the head light they will become a driving light
enlarging the housing wouldn't work for me on my car but looks like it will turn out well for you
good luck

Cool. Good luck http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif I've got an extra Mk4-look light that I robbed the lens off of and a set of MicroDE's on my workbench and eyed doing the same thing a while back but chickened out because there is going to be A LOT of custom fabbing on the back. (I just hate the way the Mk4-look lights have a "fake" fog bump...better to have left it off all together.) It will be definitely cool when you're finished! http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
But then, your car already IS

yeah i guess it will be more like a drivin light than a fog.. i'm runnin 20W yellow fog bulb so that it doesnt heat up too much...

Re: Did Hella came out with new Headlight? (Dr. Blingonian)

Let us know how it turns out. I have two extra mk4s sitting in my room. Might as well make something useful out of them !
Does the fog actually help out with lighting, or is it just for show ?

quote:

how is it on "melting" i thought about doing it but potter told me many guys have done it but sooner or later the little chrome ish melts.

if the chromeish melts.. than my headlight chrome part should be all melted by now (i run both high beam and low beam on same time.. also had my MK4 lights for about 3years now..).. cuz headlight bulb uses higher watt bulb.. 55W or some ppl use 60or higher..
that's why i'm usin only 20W bulb so that it doesnt heat up that much.. i'm also going to test this befor i do it to my headlight..
going to leave the light on for couple hours and see what happens.. if any of the plastic part from the headlight melt.. than i might not do it.. or not leave it on for too long..
