I wondered about the Dyno HP numbers when you tune a Automatic transmission car. Now I know because my Turbo build street car is a chevy 4t65e tranny in my 1996 VW Golf. So I turned it up to 32 lbs boost and dyno HP was 400.
The real horsepower will show when or if you lock the torque converter . I have a lock up on my stand alone tranny controller so I lock the converter and hit 3rd gear again and wow. This way it is the same as a manual car!
Guess what I built ? 450 HP on the dot this way.
So now you know if you dyno a automatic car you should add 12 % to the horsepower and you will have the real HP.
I like information and you can believe this . Good luck with your vee wee build.
