Re: Difference Between American and European Version (diac)

In America, the 1.8T is 180hp, not 150hp. For once, we get the better motor!

Lots of detail differences....
No split driver's side mirror
Boras (Jetta) have Golf headrests
No headlight leveling motors
No RDS radio
US Golfs have longer front bumpers
Side marker reflectors in the front bumper
Bora is called Jetta in North America
Daytime running lights
Tail lights are slightly different to meet US lighting requirements
Boras have Golf gauges (no silver rings around instruments)
Must depress clutch pedal to start car
Smaller numberplate recess for small US-style numberplates
Smaller number of available engine choices
No first aid kit or warning triangle
Headlight switch only has 2 positions - On and Off
H-speed rated tires only (instead of V or Z rated tires)
There's probably more, but that's all I can think of right now.
