I know earlier VW motors benefitted from fitting an Audi 5000 TB or possibly an A2 TB.. but what about 1.8 Digifant motors?
I have a 270 cam, chip, filter and head work in the works as well as a match-ported intake and exhaust manifold.. is the TB a bottleneck in this system or is the stock one fine for flow?
TIA!

Re: Digifant Throttle Body? Big Enough? (B3VR6)

don't worry so much about air, FUEL is the problem/bottleneck with the digifant II system(I assume you are talking about digi II, not digi I, cause if its digi I, go to the G60 forum)
you do all this porting you'll run lean and blow it up....Unless you are running custom fuel/spark...you say chip...you have AMS? Or is this really digi I
ok, I am so damn bored, if it is digi I, porting the TB can help, but there are ALOT of other things involved....you need to spew some more info on your setup...

There was also a version of Digi I on the CA cars. Unfortunately not the same as the Digi I on the G60's

yup, I had an 89 2 door Golf with digi 1, it was ok, I could never get the engine light to blink the codes out though...I want to keep the 022 ECU and tear it apart
I have to part it out soon, father-in-law wrecked into it after I sold it to him

Re: Digifant Throttle Body? Big Enough? (B3VR6)

I bought an extra ECU that's been chipped by AMS with special programming for my Cam and TT Exhaust. I'm assuming they've adjusted out the standard lean condition that occurs around 4k and hopefully increased the richness in areas the cam would require.
So it sounds like the TB on the Digi II motors is fine.. Good. Less money I have to spend! http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
Thanks for the comments!
