I have an early 12 valve VR6 automatic. I am planning to add The auxiliary radiator to the cooling system from the later Mk4 VR6, and I would like to know The direction of waterflow in the system through that transmission cooler assembly.

The picture below shows the transmission cooler as viewed from the driver side, left toward the front of the car, right toward firewall. Is the left side the inlet and the right side the outlet?

Just circling back on this, since no one answered.

It turns out the front side (left in this picture) is the inlet, and the rear side (right in this picture) is the outlet.
