How do you disable EDL? I know it's not as simple as pushing a button, but is there a fuse you can remove, or an electrical connection you can put a piece of tape over? I'd like to disable it while leaving ABS intact if that's possible.

Re: Disabling EDL (phatplat)

Electronic Differential Lock. MK4's and ABS equipped MK3's have it i believe. It's another traction control type thing that senses the rotational speeds of the front wheels. If one wheel is spinning faster than the other, the system will use ABS to slow that wheel and the power is sent to the other wheel through the open differential. I've heard it only operates under 25 mph, but I've seen some challenges to that. There's no simple button to disable it like ASR has, so I'm trying to figure out another way.
