Distributor noise

Well while ideling my distributor makes some noises like there is someting loose in it. Does anyone know what this might be? Thanx in advance.

I would unbolt it and check to see if the bearings in it are shot. i have one at home with shelled bearings. you could not spin it with your hands but the motor could. smooth=good
