Re: diverter valve (biggestgahunna)

if your looking for the famous woooooosh than go with a blow of valve make sure its a dual piston like the forge 004 but that at your own risk some cars will run right with a BOV some wont and no matter how much you play with it you wont get it running right
but if you wanna go the safe rout you can get a forge splitter r valve and you get the best of both worlds a recuculating valve and a atmo BOV thats what im running and its pretty lounds and noticible but just search BOV or dv on here and youll get a million threads

loudest bov.. turbo xs rfl! I used the spring that came with it and 4 shims to keep it closed at idle. Ran like a champ and was really loud

I don't know why you would want loud, you should want the best performing, maintenance free or oem. Not something that will make your car run bad

Re: diverter valve (themachasy)

buy a forge 007 and put it on backwards like the audi guys do.
it will perform better AND be loud, but it won't mess with your car because it is still a DV, not a BOV.

"stock dv, get a cold air. Sound+ your car runs fine without adjusting things"
Amen to that I've got the stock DV but with the ECS Tuning CAI, and it's loud enough for people on the side of the road to hear what they think is a BOV. But I care about performance more than anything.
Anyone tried the APR R1 Diverter Valve http://www.kineticmotorsport.c....html ?

Yeah its awesome http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
Its the fastest i have ever tried....forge, turbosmart, Stock TT and baily dv26, none of them come close to the rapid speed of the APr r1...and an extra bonus is that its maintance free http://****************.com/smile/emgift.gif

Re: (DK_GTI_racer)

excellent. i was checking it out and it wasnt too pricey, you know even for euros
160 off the website. Do i need to buy anything else along with it? like an other parts that would enhance the efficiency of the DV?
