Ok, other than the seats.....I will be doing a VR6 swap with this car. Is there any reason I should get a '91-'92 over a '90?
Difference in interiors or anything else?

there weren't any '90 16v GTIs. As for interior changes, just a little mix and match between the passenger assist handles, and lighted visor mirror. Exterior wise the coded hatch spoiler with 3rd brake light would be the diff between 91 and 92

if you're gonna do a swap, please don't use a 16v donor car!!!! they're rare enough as it is!

If I ever do another project, I am going to make sure I tear apart a 16v just to watch all you people (who think the 16v is the rarest car on earth) cry.

No kidding, Rob, when I get my GTI I'm going to have Dean do the swap and if I end up getting a 16v I'll let ya know so we can get a nice group photo of the engine getting ripped out!!
Unless someone wants to donate a perfect set of recaros for me to put into an 8v than I will buy whatever car is most clean, 8v, 16v, I could car less cause it's all coming out!!!!

For the record I just finished up a project GLI where I took out the 2.0 16v and threw in an 8v DIGI MOTOR HAHAHAHA I AM TRULY EVIL. Next, off come the 10.1s....out come the Recaros. MUAHAHAHAHAHA and YES it feels good
