do hella lights come stock for VR6

i just noticed somtging on my new completly stock VR6 95, that there are smoked tailights made by hella. its got hella front lights made in germany that i suspect could be e-codes but i have no idea what ecodes look like, and they have hella clear fogs.
am I just lucky to have all this hella aftermarket stuff or am i just like the rest of you and all this stuff came stock for a 95 VR6

all VW lighting (at least on our MK3's) is hella. sorry to burst your bubble

e-codes have a little E marking on them, and lack the three "nipples" that north american lights have. north american lights will have a DOT marking on them.

yup

all GTi's and some special edition golfs came with smoked hella tails.

yeah, if you like that kinda thing

i swapped my stock smoked tails for regular GL tails. smoked is too flashy for me

it has a DOT on it too. the tail lights on NA and euro spec cars are the same, the outside plastic housing that is. the bulb holders are different, that's all. the european ones got rear fogs. if you take out the tail and look at the back, you'll notice an extra hole with no corresponding bulb.
