Do I have CIS or not?

I'm really new to needing to know about my engine and have no idea which type of injection system I have. I have a 1986 GTI 8v which I want to start modifying for autocross. My 88 Fox was on 3 wheels 80% of the time last year and I decided it was time for a change.

1986 GTI should be CIS-E injection.

The A2 GTI will have the same tripod stance unless you tune the suspension specifically for autocross. Compromise set-ups that are made to be comfortable on the street will always lift the inside rear wheel. Cars that do not will post faster times.
