can i take o the expansion valve when removing the a/c do i need this ne more. also the evaporator... ne on knows

also d i remove the freshair /recirculating flap, the vaccum reservoir, vaccum hoses, the thermal switch and all that other good stuff

you know what really is azz about the vw vortex is that when it comes to finding answers there are few and far between. I want to remove my A/C also but I couldn't find any answers too, hopefully someone will respond who has done this with some good sound advice. The last thing we need is someone who's heard from someone else how its done. I've taken crappy advice from people on here before simply because I did not know any better myself...sorry to rant.

i ws gonna rant to lol.. it seems lie u have to be talking about cams or turob to get a reponse one here nowadays. adn they both have been coverd lieka million times. but when it is really sumthin techincal u get no response

You can remove it all if you want. Are you gutting the car interior or are you leaving the heater core and blower motor in the dash? If so, I'd leave as much of the ventilation system intact (minus evap core and plumbing) so you can have semi-effective defrost/de-fog. Otherwise, when in doubt, rip it out.

yah i thinkim goin to leave the heating system in.. so i can tae ou the evaporator too..

i did most of it already.. its actually easy.. but i had my bumper and everyting off already so it wasnt that hard reaching http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
