I am noticing that it takes a couple extra seconds for my valvetrain noise to go away on startup. I just did the clutch and all the timing gear looked perfect so I don't think it's the chains. It sounds alot like lifters so I was wondering if maybe the oil pump is wearing out. I don't even know where it is or what it looks like, my expirience is more in small block Chevys and such. I know engines like V8 Buicks had an external oil pump in an aluminum housing that were prone to wear and lose pressure so I was wondering if the VR's might be similar.
Thanks
Jeff

Your lifters would wear out before your oil pump, if the oil light doesn't come on (when turning especially) than it should be just fine
Get an oil pressure gauge and test it to be safe http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

off of the top of you oil filter housing. You may have to use a T adapter tho because there are 2 senders in there already.
