Just want to know if they all go half way only? I wanta get the windows all the way down... anyone know how to do this?

Yes they only go down halfway. I am not sure on your 82 but I know on my 92 it's because the rear speaker is in the way. If that is the case for you and you really want to roll it all the way down then take out speaker and see if you can relocate and extended the track for the window. It is probably possible but probably not worth the effort of fabricating new longer tracks to allow it go all the way down

There's more than the speaker that will get in the way. I looked at it and found you may get it a little lower but not much more than what you see. Now if you get ride of the rear wheels and arches then maybe you have got an idea.

Unfortunately, the rear wheel wells obstruct the windows from going all the way down. This is a design flaw they fixed in the mk3 Cabrio.
