Anyone who has done this let me know. I want to swap an MK2 dash and cluster with my mk1 in my jetta.

it's not a drop in, and it is a huge pain

It will fit but all mounting points and heater ducts have to be modified or built. It is a major pain as stated above. If you are not good with fabricating forget about it.

It's a bit too wide but you don't need to shorten it, your door cards will just have indents in them when the doors are closed for a while. Also the curve around the windshield is off, I've heard golf ones are easier to swap in but I don't know for sure

just use a Mk1 Jetta or Cabriolet dash. Its the closest thing to the Mk2 dash but with excellent fit.
