Does anyone but me NOT like the looks of the new G35?

I got the Autoweek on Tuesday and it had the Infiniti G35 on the cover. The more I looked at it, the more I disliked it. The concept is great, but I really don't care that funky rear end and the front....well.....let's just say the contracted the guy who penned the Late 90's Hyundai Sonatas.
Does anyone else think the same thing, cause I've only heard nothing but praise for it here.

I'm sure the car is great, I cannot get over the rear of the G35 at all.....just looks tall and bloated, and can't stand that cut out in the middle of the trunk lid.
They should have had some exposed exhaust pipes out the rear or something.

while the rear end is better than other nissans (like the maxima), its certainly not the best. i do like the side and the front of the car.

Nope.

Three words: Four Door Z.
I like it for what it is. However I think the rear looks like a Diamante and I HATE HATE HATE the interior. The front is not so bad (especially with the Nismo bumper!). Did I mention that the dash looks like ****e?

Well I don't think its styling is ugly, I just think it's plain. But while I'm neutral about the styling, I love the drivetrain... so therefore my general opinion of the car is a positive one.

no way. a CTS is hideously unproportioned and lacks the smooth clean look of the G35.

Agreed, the CTS is very angular while the G35 has not a straight line on its body.

...until you get to the rear end.
Still, I think the Skyline/G35 looks a lot better than that uninspired lump that got the Z name.

From the first time I saw the XVL concept, I already like its looks. I am pretty sure this thing will drive as well as any Audi or Bimmer. VQ35DE is simply a gem.

CTS? Come on, they're not even close. Personally, I like both. The G35's headlights are gorgeous and sort of remind me of that short period of time in the '30s when automakers diverted from round and oval headlights for more sculpted designs. The roofline from that angle looks pure BMW, though....*surprise* Although I think the CTS is a little homely from some angles I give Caddy a lot of credit for making a fresh design out of a decades old shape and starting a new design direction that is already being imitated, althewhile restoring their image in the way they should have 25 years ago. The others, Imaj, Evoq, and Cien are wildly attractive and stylish cars in my oppinion, and offer the content to match the looks.
