Cops WILL nail you for this. I don't like them one bit, but to each his own. It's funny because I see a lot of people who have them and will turn them on while filling up their gas tank or at a drive though. Once they hit the road though they turn them off. Some people are just silly

how about neons inside the car... That isnt my car, but it looks sort of like that, it matches the interior so well people dont even know it is not stock.. i am thinking of taking them out and putting them somewhere else..

i dont know how he installed those but i put two 9 inch i think one might have been 11 i forget now underneath both sides. They are held up with zip ties since i didnt want to screw any holes, and they are wired to a hidden switch. During the day or when they are off, you dont even know they are there..

Yeah, that is cool. Looks like those lights in the movie theater that run along the isles. Break out the LCS, pop in a DVD, make some popcorn and turn on the neon lights. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

I have those neons in blue under my dash and seats. Although it may be ricey. It looks bas as sh*t. Plus with my dvd player it all goes together. It looks tight, i say go for it. I dont know about outside though. Sounds like a uncle bens car.

Yeah i have red neons under my Golf IV. Looks amazing!! Don't listen to these other people who think it's crap, it's just their opinion. Seriously, the neons look great under my silver golf!
yeah, it is illegal to have them on WHILE DRIVING. You can turn them on while parked in, say, a mall parking lot or at a convenience store. I, very rarely, turn them on any other time. Sometimes I'll flip 'em on while on the highway, but not for long. You just gotta be careful.
As for price, i got mine off a friend for $80. I think they usually go for around $150 or so.
Installation was a pain! Took me 5 hours by myself. Mostly due to my arms and neck getting tired from working under the car. The rear neon tube in the back is completely visible because I could find NO other place to put it besides directly under the rear bumper! Doesn't look too bad though. I'll take care of that when I decide on a nice rear bumper later on.
So, in MY opinion, it looks really nice! Great headturner!

I'll post pics sometime after christmas (getting digital camera). I have pics of them now, but they are crappy and wouldn't turn out good enough if I scanned them. Best to just wait for the digital camera!

My cousin has neon filament lighting in where the seam where the leather in the door panels end and rubber/plastic start.
I have to say, im not a big neon fan... but this actually looks cool.
he has a 2000 Jetta btw

I've got em hard wired under my dash straight to my switch, so when the outside corners turn on so do the interior underdash bluies too.
PS... I have a funny little switch which I custom installed. Here's the old hole which my dashkit already came with stock.

And here's a wierd shot of my door open and the angle lets you see the passenger neon stick under the dash:

I'll see If I can post a pic sometime of my custom switch which now fills that hole perfectly.
