You can get ones that will work w/ MOMO adapters (like $225).

I have a Momo P/N C-8010 steering wheel adapter for my ITB '86 Golf, and it will also fit certain Porsches, most notably certain 924/944 models. Find a quick-release for one of those and you'll be able to use it on an older watercooled VW.

there are ads for them in the SCCA newsletter as well as in the back of grassroots motorsport too, iirc.

Boss makes one in Europe.... That is the only place I have seen one.
