Does the 02 Passat or .5 cluster have a fog indicator in the cluster??????

I wired it in my b5..... ordered an 02.... just wondering, i realize the cluster is different now, but just wondering if it is the same for the indicator?
is it there?

Great question when you find out let me know also.
The stock USA light switch for my 2002 Passat Wagon has the front fog active light built into the switch. I would like to know where the euro 2002 passat's have the rear fog light active indicator? Is it now built into a new euro switch???

On the 01.5 there is no indicator on the guage cluster, only the light on the switch itself.

The 2002 doesn't have a cluster indicator to show that the fogs are on. Three ways to know:
(1) There is a green light indicator below (I think) the headlight switch. You have to lean and duck your head to see it...
(2) The headlight switch is "out"
(3) The area near the front of the car is better illuminated (sometimes hard to tell, especially in a place where ambient light is higher such as city driving.

I would say there is no change from the B5. As mentioned there is a REAR FOG indicator in the instrument cluster. I'll take a pic as soon as I have mine wired next weekend.

Please bare with us newbies:
I found the outline for the rear fog light in the tach dial on my 2002 B5.5 Passat wagon. It appears to be just a little to the right of where it is on a B5.
I used a flash light to shine on the dial. I could then see it.

Ok...perfect, so we know the icon is there......
Now.... is it as simple to wire as the b5 was? i mean undo the connector on the rear of the cluster and pull apart the connector, put in a 22awg. wire and then wire to the live side of the switch?
Thanks.......... we need input on the fog icon!!!!!!! Anyone done it yet?

Are you sure that you really want that bright light shining back at you? I know from personal experience that the highbeam light is WAY to bright. (And bright blue, great way to ruin your night vision even more!)

As of the 2001.5, the tach cluster wiring was the same as the B5... at least that's how I did mine!
