I looked around the escort website, nothing to be found. that's really the big thing drawing me towards the V1 as opposed to the 8500, but I'm not sure that its worth another $100 plus another $40 for the display. Does the 8500 have one? Thanks.

I love my 8500. It comes standards with warning lights on the plug, so you can run the detector in dark mode and not put on a light show for other drivers (and cops) to see.
Great product and the autologic mode NEVER false alarms, unlike my dead BEL 850STi.
