i spun a rod bearing in my gti and im rebuilding the motor. i plan on getting a holset hx-35 or hy-35. im not sure what rods or pistons would be recomended. or what does and doesnt need to be replaced. give me some ideas on what i should be buying. thanks.

Why the holset? I don't know any tunes built for those?

i hadnt looked into that until now and i havent heard of any either. well ill be using a t3/t4 turbo instead. that should make things easier.

turbo has nothing to do with the tune.. what they do is give you base tune when you order for example 630cc tune.. that would work fine on any turbo really.. but having logs done and adjusting it just fine tunes it all..

i know there was a 1.8T guy who made 336whp with the hy35.. just fyi
