i've had a problem with my door handle since the lock broke. just recently i thought i fixed it, but after you lock the doors and then unlock them the handle no longer works (both interior and exterior passengers side). when i was fixing it i found a weird spring and am not sure if this is what could be causing the problem. it wasn't from the lock assembly or anything. i'm not sure where it goes. any help would be appreciated.

When you operate interior handle can you hear the rod slide in the door?

yeah it slides. everything is hooked up right. i figured out that you just kind of have to lift up on the handle a little bit and open it. seems to open everytime now.

just do what i did and shave them
