i like them on. they continue the line that runs from the top of the front bumper to the top of the rear bumper.

Well the funny thing is, the ones from the factory are in the 'wrong place' If you look at the first picture you can see the body line where the panels stick out the furthest - between the door handle and stock molding.
I have had DOZENS of dings take out of that area. Most amazed me that the PDR guy could get them out...
S since the stock ones are too low to do any good I guess it doesn't matter if you keep them or not. As for the visual, it is your car, do what you like!

keep 'em.
it's true they arent in the most effective place but i've found they still help in a number of situations.
a picture of someones red car ive seen here on the vortex comes to mind, and it looked really good with the mouldings.
im still wondering if i should take mine off or not...

Red and lighter color cars I think look better without.
Darker look good either way. I've left them on my dark green.

considering they serve no purpose at all..... i took mine off when one started sagging.
its the line above it that gets all the door dents.

Re: Door protectors or not? (CorradoChaos'92)

I just pulled mine off on saturday, and will be removing the stickiness today.
as far as the handles go, leave em imho. I think the handles make a good break in the cars lines.

Re: Door protectors or not? (Radorider)

They've served me well once. I parked my car once near a 3 foot high cement ledge. The hot blonde in the passenger seat opened the door and hit the ledge with the door.
I bit my tongue and held in my tears since the blonde was rediculously good looking and yelling at her would have been counter-productive for what I had in plan later on. Luckily the door protectors saved me...and her.

Some C's look good with them, some without them... it's all personal preference.

I agree 100% On the stock color red they looks great (IMO), any other color I think it looks good either way.

15 door dings and not a scratch on the door molding...excellent placement, really super.
