The lone watercooled VW entry this weekend at the NHRA Sport Compact races in Las Vegas. He was in the finals in Bracket 1 (the slower one), running a low 15. I believe he may have even won!!

brackets are fun!!! I watched a bone stock 6V beetle romp on 12 second honda's and mitsubishi's. He had a estimated ET of like 28 flat, so he left like 12-15 seconds before anybody else. They would see him at 3/4 track, get ancy, and usually either redlight, or break out. It was funny to see a bunch of guys with 10+G's in thier cars get beat out of a $500 pot by a rusted out old beetle.
