Welll since you are going to shortly find out you are goin to have to do lots of work to use the 1.8T trans and end up using your stock trans you can find driveshafts for the trans you have at http://www.driveshaftshop.com.

What work am i going to have to do? i know about the shift linage and i am getting the new cable one with the engine

also will my stock tranny bolt up and handle a 1.8T?
Re: drive shaft ? (VwGTi31)

the power is oging to be the issue, the problem is the moutns, teh front mount on yoru car will not fit on the 1.8T transmission, soyou need to make one that does or use yoru stock trans. With a diff in your O2O trans you should be safe, there are plenty of turbo 16v and what not.
Not sure if it woudl work this way, some VR6 O2A trans internals are the same as 02J internals, but maybe a G60 trans woudl work and you coudl use the gearing from a 1.8T in side since it should have similar parts. They did however make some changes half way throught and changed the length of the input shaft inside the trans so tha tmay be out. But the gearing on a G60 shouldtn' be too far of. Then just use the pedals, cables, and everyting fomr a G60 corrado, should all work just fine, right down to the flywheel.

ok ok i really need to know if my drive shafts on my 1986 tranny fit on the 1.8T tranny.
Re: drive shaft ? (VwGTi31)

no you have 90mm flanges, possibly 100s if they were ever changed, and a 1.8T has 108mm flanges, but you still cant' get the trans in the car.
