I notice some play in my driver's side seat.. it's not a lot, but it's enought when when I turn corners or change lanes quickly, I can feel the seat jiggling a bit in the tracks. Anyone else experienced this? Remedies?
um...try looking under the seat and see if any bolt of anything is loose or try slidding the seat all the way forward the slidding it all the way back the putting it back where you like it. i dont know if that would work but i would try it.
Hmmmm, I have the same problem. Not a real noticable shift in the seat when I turn corners, but it does move a slight bit. I cannot feel or see anything loose under the seat, any other remedies to try??
Is it possible for the seat tracks to warp or become worn down??
there are clips on the guide ends that break. buy new ones from the dealer for like 5 bucks, pull your seat out, put the new ones on, and there ya go. no more rocking. for a better explanation, go here: http://brett.kavi.com/gti-vr6/library/
Look at the back part of the seat rails. Look to see if there is a little white piece that is loose in the track. If it is just push it forward so the seat sits snug in the track again. It is usually the inside track closest to the center console.
