i don't kno what i was thinking but i pulled on one of the little bolts on the backside of the drum brake and it pulled out and i heard a spring inside let go, now when i turn the drum theres sounds inside and i need to get in to fix it, what can i do to take the drum off and fix this problem the quickest. its a 98 jetta

1) Wheel off
2) Dust cap off from the wheel bearing
3) Cotter pin and little cap over the stub axle nut need to be removed
4) remove stub axle nut (probably not on too tight)
5) Remove washer and wheel bearing (REMEMBER WHICH ORDER/DIRECTION THEY GO IN !!)
6) Drum should come off now. A few gentle whacks with a hammer or prying with a large flathead screwdriver might help.
