Re: Dual ICs (TurboBeetle1)

ecs has the kit
you dont need upgraded IC's unless you have serious turbo upgrades...
Re: Dual ICs (TurboBeetle1)

ECS Tuning sells the kit for $895. It fits Golf/Jetta/GTI MkIV cars but does NOT fit the New Beetle to my knowledge. The unit takes the stock IC system from 70% effectiveness to about 90% efficiency.
As for what Axe said, unless you add a big turbo, just a good SMIC replacement might be sufficient, true. However, I ran a stock turbo on my SMIC for quite some time, and now have only a slightly larger turbo. I'd say the dual-IC is good for anyone, but financially more worthwhile after other mods have come and gone!
Re: Dual ICs (AxeAngel)

Axe, the best one for the C/I/E/DP setup is the Forge, right?
Re: Dual ICs (AxeAngel)

i have a K04 intake, exhaust, chipped, ecs n75, and other stuff, im looking for more stuff to do, any suggestions
Re: Dual ICs (TurboBeetle1)

Damir, get the Forge SMIC.
Turbo, unless you're already done suspension, do that. Maybe get an LSD and a good clutch. Otherwise, you're in the same spot I am... nothing left to do really. You could get the ECS Pullies, maybe consider race seats/harnesses. But from a power standpoint, you're at a stopping point... ugh!

Re: Dual ICs (Shaka)

Shaka, you mean the front mount single, or the side one that directly replaces the stock one?
Re: Dual ICs (Damir)

FMIC = Front Mount Inter Cooler.
SMIC = Side Mount Inter Cooler.
Re: Dual ICs (Shaka)

my suspension is done nothing left to do there, and the trans is still up in the air, i dont know if i want to go all out and get a six speed, peloquin, and clutch and flywheel, or just do the clutch and flywheel, i cant see getting use out of a 4000 dollar trans, ill buy a mk2 for that, we'll see i almost ordered the pulleys today from ecs but not sure about pulleys and lightwheight flywheel, im looking at brakes too whats good, willwood, brembo, ecs porsche what else, i really want more power
