would there be any interest in a "dump section" that would bolt between the DP and race section of the popular DPs?

Re: Dump section? (dj_dub)

You would be perfect for this. haven't decided on price, depends on interest.
Re: Dump section? (jim wilson)

That would be great, but wouldn't the exhaust need to be modified(shortened) ?
Re: Dump section? (jim wilson)

I would if I could use it after a HF cat. (while keeping stock exaust for certain female reasons.)
Re: Dump section? (jim wilson)

if the price is good i'll, definately buy one!

Re: Dump section? (Cypher2k)

BTW i want one of those DP/race sections toot sweet.
my HF cat is ordered. got a plan:
CG SS DP-->HF Cat--->dump tube in race/conversion section--->stock exaust.
Stealthy and ready to rip when required.

Well, the DPs I know of use a slip fit. The stock or race section would just be cut 6 " shorter. In the case of ATP or CG DP the race pipe could be cut. almost all the aftermaket exhausts use a slip fit.

Dude you nuts? Haha just ask Jim will deliver, great work Jim.

I would highly suggest putting it before the cat if there is room with your setup. The cap would only be removed for track use.

Just something I threw together after dinner. wait til you see the SS air to water IC.
Re: Dump section? (jim wilson)

My idea is to do this without throwing codes, getting reasonable power out of the setup with SOME noise reduction for cruise nights. And being able to return to somewhat stock sound levels retaining my stock exaust.
Re: Dump section? (jim wilson)

This would be cool to have hooked up to a switch in the car... sorta like nitrous, but much louder!

Also would be expensive. reaching under the car with a 14mm socket will have it off in less than 1 minute.

Oh I get it, just bypassing the cat back.
Re: Dump section? (jim wilson)

Jim, do you already have these made? If so where can i sign up for one? Ive been wanting one since Tyrollkid first thought it up, but i didnt like the idea of modifying my downpipe.
Do you have an extra you can sell me now? This would be perfect for the upcoming drag season.

Andy, I'll send you one to try out. Do some of your graphing magic, email me the address you want it sent to.
