dump tube question

I will be recieving my HF cat soon and want to make a dump on the test pipe. Welding and materials won't be any problem, one of my boys is the man at tig welding, but at what angle and which way should the tube be pointing, to the side a little bit or straight down. If you got any pics please post them.
