I am going to get UPsoluted this weekend and I want to get the most from the chip... my idea is to get an aftermarket DV as to maintain the added boost...
one thing... I hear all this controversy over fitting the Forge DV's and another thing is that I have no idea where to get them...

Check this out: http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=221202 http://www.stratmosphere.com is the official US distributor of Forge valves. FWIW I have a 2001 AWD engine and the 007 seems to be the closest fit although I still had to trim the engine cover b4 I just took the thing off!

my bailey dv doesn't hit anything, and nothing needed to be trimmed, and the vacuum line doesn't rub either...

i got my forge through my area upsolute guy. (sonny)
it did rub though, no probs now since the engine cover is sitting by my desk

both valves fit fine as other users of this forum have testified.
The 007P is closest to stock in size.

I guess you're getting chipped at the 1552 show? Chris Green is right in your neighborhood and has the forge valve. 954-818-7467 about a mile from sample and 441.

Actually I am not going to the 1552 show... but I am going to this new place in Coral Springs... I think Chris Green may work there or something... the place is called Unforgettable... http://www.unforgettablesnp.com

Chris owns that shop, he is also the Miami UP rep. The thing is, we are all going to 1552 this weekend. Chris does about 30 007 DVs a month and they fit fine. unless he's chipping you sunday night when he gets back you may want to see about getting it done Friday before he leaves.

i have the oo7... it fits like a charm... too bad the stock clamps were a b*tch to get off

There is no honking or any other new noises and it's still fast as hell.
