Wanted to get a baseline for my 2002 GTI 1.8T, so I got it dynoed this past weekend.
pull 1: 162.9 HP 172.4 Torque
pull 2: 160.2 HP 177.8 Torque
pull 3: 158.9 HP 178.1 Torque
Pretty happy with the results there, the HP was a little higher then what I was expecting and the Torque was quite a bit higher.

Re: Dyno results for my stock 02 GTI (1BadAzzVR6)

Yeah, HP went down as the car started heating up, the pulls were basically one after another, so by the last one pull the engine was pretty hot. As for the torque, kinda surprised me too, the guy there though said that as the engine gets hotter, the chip adds more fuel to the mixture and that gives it more torque. Don't know if right or not, but that was the explanation I got.

Nice numbers ... I think 12.5% loss would be more realistic for a FWD car and 15% for a RWD one. On the GIAC website I think they use a 13% factor.
Either ways, those are great numbers! http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

At 92 mph you should be in the 14.8 1/4 range. I think it's your 60 foot pass. I ran 15.05 @ 90 MPH that's almost 89 MPH. That means I got out quick then did poorly on 2nd half. My start and your finish we may have a 14.6 car. Not bad. How do you like your suspension set up? I can not decide between eibach pro or koni with H&R?

Yeah my 60ft times needed some work. The suspension is awsome now with the diff. I am very pleased with the ride. It was harsh at first but has settled down. THe tires take a beating....i need to put air in them everyother week (NJ roads
). I need to do some fine tuning to the shocks/sturts though. Ill wait for it to warm up to play around with that.

Efficiency is found in lightening the drive train components. This is where lightened flywheels, lightened pulleys and (on the extreme end) carbon fibre driveshafts help out. More of the BHP gets to the wheels...
