i just received info from a german distributor of vw parts. I ask for a set of german spec headlights. he gave me a part number 963 597-00L
pp-t40 that is on the lights. Can anyone verify that these are the ecode lights that I need for my 2002 Jetta?

Re: ecode headlights? (BoraVR6)

the guy told me that they are spec for both european and us bora/jettas. I am thinking that they maybe could be GLX lights. They are made in mexico. Anyone know out there know what the part number for glx lights are? Can seem to find them on pottermans or any other parts stores

Please Correct me if I'm wrong but don't the Jetta E-Codes come with City Lights (I think thats what they're called.) Basically small LEDs built into the lights housing below the Main Halogen Bulb.

Re: ecode headlights? (hman)

Ecodes (from Potters) come with city lights (European parking lights) and fogs, no driving lights. Of course, the H4 bulb and different pattern make the high beams nice driving lights.
