Hardly competition to the Touareg. More like competition to the Cayenne or some future SRX.
Shelby Automobiles expects to sell a limited number of Shelby Ford Expedition for about $100,000 each. The company may also sell several hundred similar Expeditions with slightly less power under the hood at a cost of about $75,000 each.

The chassis of the Shelby Ford Expedition has "Optimum Composite Design" structural enhancements. To bring the whole thing to a stop, the front Brembo brakes have big 385 mm cross-drilled rotors and, in the back, 355 mm rotors with 4-piston calipers.

In line with the typically American taste for extremes, Volvo Cars North America (VCNA) unleashed two outrageous, one-off concept versions of the XC90 and V50 at an aftermarket equipment show1 in Las Vegas – where else!

The Volvo XC90 PUV – Power Utility Vehicle – has been tuned and supercharged to produce an estimated 650 bhp from Volvo's new V8 engine. It has also undergone a radical exterior treatment with a more aggressive stance provided by an eye-grabbing red paint scheme, lowered suspension, nine inch wide ultra high-performance alloy wheels, deep front spoiler and rear valance with custom made quad exhaust pipes.
"This was such a fun concept," noted Vic Doolan, President and CEO of VCNA. "It has all the safety that Volvo is known for with the looks and performance of an exotic car. But this is just a concept to get the juices flowing and to get Volvo noticed by those who may not have considered Volvo before," he continued.

That Ford is the stupidest thing I've ever seen. A straight line only performing SUV. What's the point now? A KIA SUV will run circles around it in the snow and offroad. So will my grandma in a wheelchair, backwards,,,,,,,with one arm.

Not to thread drift at all..... but how is that beautiful city of yours??
My wife and I visited there for the first time a couple of years ago and absolutely fell in love with it. It was one of my favorite European cities. The scenery is amazing, the people are friendly and the beer...
