Hello all,
I recently installed an Eibach Pro-System plus system in my 2000
Passat 1.8t and I got a question...
The install went easy enough front and back but when I lowered the
car the rear springs seemed to be compressed too much...
The lower 3 rungs of the springs touch each other and this seems too
close to me...
The car drives fine and is stable even at high speeds...
Any help will be appreciated...

Call Eibach up. The Pro-System is notorious for the butt drooping effect. Especially with the 1.8T.
I don't know why they don't fix it. Its gotta hurt their sales.

The ass doesn't sit lower with Eibach springs. What it does is drop the car evenly so the uneven gaps that your car already had are a little more noticeable. This is benficial because with EVERYONE else's springs will shift more weight to the front as if the car isn't front heavy enough as it is.

They're progressive rate springs and this is normal. My Eibachs were the same way.

Thank you for your answer I was hoping that after a few hundred miles the spring would equalize...
Still no problem with the suspension and the car handles like a charm.
Installed the Eibach front sway bar and my cornering improved too...
I really like this kit...
