Eibach Pro System +

How different is this Eibach suspesnion kit from the FACTORY OEM SPORT SUSPENSION PLUS the DEALER installed EIBACH LOWERING SPRINGS?
How can the Eibach kit hurt my car? I want this kit, however, the dealer was scaring me out of purchasing it and said that I could hurt my car thus voiding the warranty.
Isn't it the closest thing to the factory sport suspension kit plus the dealer installed eibach springs kit.

Re: Eibach Pro System + (2001Bora)

The VW Sport Suspension Lowering Kit (the one in DriverGear) is the same thing as the Eibach Pro-Kit. Except that if you buy it from VW and get it installed by VW, your warranty will be intact. The dealer is attempting to scare you into buying it from them. Just buy the Eibach Pro-Kit, it'll be cheaper and it's the same thing...1.2" drop.
Re: Eibach Pro System + (U n i o n 0015)

So what springs should I get that will not destroy my factory shocks?
Eibach ________ (model/name/number) Does anyone know a good/cheap place to order them?
Thanks!

Re: Eibach Pro System + (2001Bora)

Let's slow down here. The dealer sells VW lowering springs made by Eibach. Supposidly they are the same as the European Pro Kit springs. They should lower the car by more than an inch and be about 15% stiffer than stock springs. Installation should not affect your warranty.
Eibach also makes the Pro Kit springs which should lower your car by about 1.2 inches (maybe a little more for Jettas and a little less for Golfs) and should be about 20% stiffer than stock.
Eibach also makes the Pro System with the Pro Kit springs and matching low pressure gas dampers (supposidly made for Eibach by Sachs) and the Pro System + with the Pro Kit springs, matching dampers and front and rear sway bars.
Re: Eibach Pro System + (Senna 1.8T)

The springs are called the Eiback Pro-Kit. Yeah, it sounds like a complete suspension package but it's just lowering springs. These are the same as the ones VW offers...they won't destroy your stock shocks (they're made to work with them).
Information - Part number:
Golf IV, 4 Cyl., (Incl. 1.8T-Turbo & 1.9 TDI) - 8561.140
Golf IV, 6 Cyl. - 8564.140
RedSpeedFreak is selling his in the GolfIV/JettaIV Classifieds...good price too! I wish I had the money for 'em. Link: http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=155458

My original Q was:::
Does the Eibach Pro Sys + kit have the same feel/specs at the factory sport suspension with the dealer-installed Eibach springs?
Remember the old saying: If you change the springs, you might as well change the shocks!

If you are comparing the Pro System + to the stock factory sport suspension w/VW lowering springs, the Pro System + will feel better damped because it has stronger dampers which are matched to the spring rate, and it will lean less because it has matched sway bars, and it will have less understeer because it has the 25mm rear bar in addition to the stock welded-in rear bar.
