Sounds like the Passat has electronic issues with the visor. I could have sworn that somebody has had this problem. Do a search on the club B5 site. This site has lost its search capability. I'm almost positive they have the answer to this if you do a search. The search function is a little strange over there so try some different combos. to get some info. Good luck!
